TWO volunteer-driven clubs in Casey have been given a funding boost.
The Hallam Junior Football Club and the Cranbourne Lions Club Choir will receive grants of between $1000 and $5000 to help purchase much-needed equipment to run their organisations.
The choir will use the money to buy a computer for recording and rehearsing purposes, while the football club will use its $4750 to buy information technology equipment, uniforms and first-aid courses for volunteers.
Holt MP Anthony Byrne announced the funding this week, and said volunteers were the backbone of the community.
