NARRE Warren South P-12 College students are getting ready to hit the big screen as they produce a range of short movies.
The year 7 students will showcase the flicks at a short film festival at the Cameo Cinema in Belgrave next month.
The budding filmmakers spent time learning about film making and wrote formal applications for the roles needed in the film making process, including director, producer, sound engineer, designer and marketer, camera person, editor and actor.
IT co-ordinator Carys Freeman from Narre Warren South P-12 College said the students had been working tirelessly in teams to create and produce the films.
“The project has seen students gaining valuable skills in film-making, as well as developing important social skills in areas such as time management, meeting deadlines, working in a team, accepting responsibility and independent learning,” she said.
The short film festival, organised by the school, will be held on Wednesday, 11 August.
