LA TROBE MP Jason Wood has made a pledge of $85 million towards the construction of an underpass at the train lines along Clyde Road, Berwick if the Coalition wins the federal election.
Mr Wood made the announcement yesterday (Wednesday) with members of the Berwick Chamber of Commerce.
He said the purpose of the pledge was to give the Berwick residents the underpass they wanted. Mr Wood said he also needed the State Government’s commitment of $25 million, which was recently announced, to complete the project.
