A MAN was assaulted and robbed while he was walking home in Cranbourne on Sunday morning.
Police said the 18-year-old from Cranbourne had been “evicted” from The Settlement Hotel and was walking home along Camms Road when he was approached by two or three men at 3.25am.
The men, described as being of Pacific Islander appearance, asked the man for a cigarette and a cigarette lighter and then assaulted him.
He was punched to the head and face.
The attackers then stole his wallet, mobile phone and cigarettes.
Police believe the group of men were aged from 16 to 18.
