CUSTOMERS lined up at the new ALDI store in Berwick from 7.30am last Thursday as the store opened its doors for the first time.
The store opening at the Eden Rise Shopping Centre attracted a large crowd of customers all wanting to snap up some bargains.
To celebrate the opening, Melbourne Football Club’s Brad Green hosted a football clinic outside the store’s entrance on Saturday.
An ALDI spokeswoman said they were aware of significant consumer demand for an ALDI store in Berwick as many local residents were travelling to stores in Beaconsfield, Fountain Gate and Hampton Park.
“We therefore decided to open a store in Berwick to offer local residents the convenience of an ALDI store in their neighbourhood,” she said.
