NEW traffic lights at the intersection of Wellington and Lysterfield roads in Lysterfield have been switched on.
The $2.6 million safety improvement works at the intersection aim to help alleviate congestion and improve safety.
In the five years to 31 December 2009, there were 10 casualty crashes at the intersection, three resulting in serious injuries.
