Parents and friends from the community were invited to attend a parade, where students showcased their costumes.
Students dressed up as Wally from Where’s Wally, Alice from Alice in Wonderland, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, princesses from Princess Fairy Tales, Leif from Deltora Quest and many other characters.
After the parade, all students worked together on different activities which enabled them to explore maths concepts through literature.
The students, with parents and other community members, investigated and related numbers and other maths concepts to the world around them on a day of learning together.
