Pink ball for a cause

KIMBERLEY Bulka is busting a groove to raise money for cancer.
She is holding a Pink Ball next weekend at Castello’s Berwick Springs and is inviting supporters to attend.
Six years ago Ms Bulka started raising money for the cause when she first took part in the Girls Night In – a night where women are invited to get together and donate the money they would normally spend on a night out to the Cancer Council.
“I ended up having 30 people who wanted to come, and ended up organising something at the Dandenong Club,” she said.
This year, she has taken it one step further, organising the dinner dance, which will include a three-course meal as well as a live local band Regulator.
“People don’t have to wear a ball gown, they are just asked to wear something pink, but it will be a great night out,” she said.
“All for a great cause.”
Money raised on the night will go to research cancer including breast, uterine, ovarian and cervical.
“Hopefully, one day they’ll be able to find a cure or will know how to prevent this disease,” she said.
The Pink Ball will be held on October 29 at 7pm at Castello’s Berwick Springs.
Anyone wanting to attend the dinner dance is invited to call Kimberley on 0438 558 893.
