IT was Children’s Week in Cranbourne and with the help of Southern Health’s Cardinia Casey Community Health Service; there was a great turnout.
There were children’s service organisations providing free, fun and education experiences for children, while also promoting their services.
This year’s event focus was on biodiversity, healthy eating and physical activity.
Cardinia Casey Community Health Service contributed by helping children to make ‘Hairy Caterpillars’. The children filled a small section of stocking with sand, soil and alfalfa seeds and divided the sections with brightly coloured pipe-cleaners.
The children then took the caterpillars home to water them and watch as they become ‘hairy’ as they grew.
