STRAITHAIRD Primary School raised $1341 last Friday as part of National Bandanna Day.
Teachers and students purchased CanTeen Bandannas from the school during the week and wore them any way they liked on the day.
The fundraiser was supported by the whole school and organised by teacher Tanith Keller and the Junior School Council.
“It was a really great day,” Ms Keller said.
The Narre Warren South school ordered 300 of the CanTeen Bandannas and sold out early. Those who didn’t get in fast enough wore one from last year and donated a gold coin instead.
CanTeen’s National Bandanna Day supports young people with cancer by fundraising and raising awareness.
Grand result for can-do kids
