A SPATE of car fires is continuing in Casey.
More than 20 cars have been set alight since 1 August this year, mainly in the Cranbourne area.
Last week, seven torched cars were found, including one in Mullin Court on 28 November.
The grey sedan was located by police at 5.30pm.
Between 1 August and 22 November, Casey police discovered 14 torched cars, mainly in the Cranbourne area.
Ten of the cars were stolen.
Police said most of the cars had been set alight between midnight and 1am on Wednesdays.
With damage to many cars appearing on the back right-hand side of the vehicles, it is believed those responsible had tried, unsuccessfully to set fire to the petrol tanks, police said.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the car fires, and ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
