IF you’re looking for somewhere outdoors to entertain friends and family this summer but don’t want to travel far, then head to Wilson Botanic Park in Berwick.
City of Casey Manager Sport and Leisure Richard Amon encourages residents to visit Wilson Botanic Park and enjoy the facilities available including electric barbecues, a designated ball games area and children’s playground.
“Wilson Botanic Park caters for all ages and interests, holding regular open air concerts and events during the summer and I encourage all residents to visit the park and enjoy all the activities available,” Mr Amon said.
“Wilson Botanic Park also offers a range of walking trails, picnic shelters and spectacular views over Melbourne to Port Phillip Bay and of the three lakes and rose gardens.”
Residents can also walk their dogs on a lead.
Wilson Botanic Park is located on Princes Highway, Berwick, and is open seven days a week, from 7am until 8pm.
Entry is free but charges for events apply.
