LA TROBE MP Laura Smyth has called on the Victorian Government to support the Federal Government’s introduction of an R18+ category for computer games to protect children and teenagers which will be discussed on Friday.
Federal Justice Minister Brendan O’Connor announced that the Government would push for the introduction of an adult only classification for electronic games.
It will be discussed at a meeting of all Classification Ministers in Canberra this Friday.
Under the National Classification Scheme all states and territories need to support the move for it to be adopted.
