“The 2011 Casey Citizens of the Year Awards, along with the Casey Community Event/ Activity of the Year Awards for 2010, recognise the outstanding contributions made by a variety of residents, from all walks of life and across a range of areas, to improv-ing the community in which we live,” Councillor Balmes said.
“It is marvellous to recognise and reward the fantastic contribution of these pillars of society who, through their hard work and co-operative spirit, ensure Casey is a thriving community where residents have a strong sense of identity and pride,” she said.
