POLICE have arrested a drink-driver in Hallam with a blood-alcohol reading nearly six times the legal limit.
Concerned shop assistants contacted police when an intoxicated woman tried to buy alcohol before getting into her car in Hallam on Wednesday last week.
Police arrested the woman after she was involved in a minor car accident while trying to leave the Spring Square shopping centre car park about midday.
She was taken to the Endeavour Hills police station where she had a breath test that indicated she had a blood-alcohol reading of .290 per cent.
The 46-year-old Endeavour Hills woman had her driving licence suspended immediately and will be charged on summons with drink-driving.
