Vehicles ablaze

A CAR and a motorcycle were set alight in Doveton on the weekend.
At 11.30pm on 7 May, a 37-year-old Golden Court resident woke up from the sound of his smoke alarm and found his motorcycle on fire in the backyard. Police said the 2002 Honda XR400 was covered by an old blanket and placed behind ply board before being set alight.
The next day, between 6am and 6.30am, a blue Ford Laser sedan was reversed into bollards surrounding a play area at Waratah South Reserve Doveton, Frawley Road. Police said the car was stolen from Scotsburn Way in Endeavour Hills earlier that day.
The value of the damage is $1500.
