SUCCESSFUL and innovative businesses in the municipality can apply for the second annual Casey Business Awards.
Applications are open for the awards which celebrate the energy, ambition and confidence of the local business community, City of Casey Mayor Shar Balmes said.
She encouraged all local businesses to submit an application.
“The city of Casey is hometo nearly 19,500 businesses which play a vital role in our rapidly-growing community,” she said.
“The inaugural Casey business Awards were held last year and a number of worthy local businesses were recognised and rewarded for their excellence and innovation.”
City of Casey Manager of Economic Development David Wilkinson said that all Casey businesses should be eligible for at least one award.
“In addition to the award categories which reflect the composition of the Casey business community, all entries are also eligible for three judges’ choice awards.
“I encourage all the Casey businesses, regardless of their industry, size or age, to enter the 2011 Casey Business Awards to be in the running to win one of the category awards or be named the 2011 Casey Business of the Year!”

All entries will be in the running for three Judges’ Choice Awards; the Environmental Sustainability Awards, the Innovation Awards and the Commendation Award. Winners of each category will also contend for the 2011 Casey Business of the Year Award.
