CASEY residents are encouraged to nominate outstanding seniors for this year’s Victorian Senior of the Year Awards.
Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan said the awards were a great way for the community to say thankyou and recognise the many achievements of seniors.
Mr Donnellan said there were five categories in the 2011 Victorian Senior of the Year Awards, and encouraged residents to nominate an outstanding Victorian aged over 60.
“Seniors in Casey are a vital part of our community and the Victorian Senior of the Year Awards is a great way to recognise their contribution. Each year the Victorian Senior of the Year Awards recognise the outstanding leadership and contributions made by our older Victorians,” Mr Donnellan said.
Nominations were now open for the following categories: Senior of the Year award; Council on the Ageing Victorian Senior Achiever Awards; Promotion of Multicultural Award; Healthy and Active Living Award and Veteran Community Award. Forms from Mr Donnellan’s electorate office at Endeavour Hills Shopping Centre or from www.dpcd.vic.gov.au
