Support sought for beds plea

A PETITION calling for the State Government to provide funding for more beds at Casey Hospital was launched last week.
Casey residents are encouraged to sign the petition which was launched by Opposition Leader Daniel Andrews, Narre Warren South Judith Graley and Eastern Victoria Region MP Johan Scheffer on Tuesday.
Mr Andrews said the government should ensure vital services such as hospitals could keep up with the growing demand.
“Providing funding to open more beds means more patients can receive the care they need quicker,” he said.
Ms Graley encouraged residents to sign the petition.
“This petition is about making sure (Premier) Ted Baillieu listens and understands that the community wants more investments in their hospital,” Ms Graley said.
The petition is available at Ms Graley’s electorate office.
