STUDENTS and staff at Moss-giel Park Primary School celebrated culture day last Thursday, with students dressing up in outfits of cultural significance and sharing a cultural-themed lunch.
The event was part of the annual Bookweek, with this year’s theme being, One World Many Stories.
Event organiser Caroline McInerney said the day was a great success.
“We were absolutely thrilled with the support we received from both students and parents.
“Because it went so well, we want to make it an annual event,” she said. The purpose of the day was to celebrate and promote diversity.
“Our school has students from over 30 different cultures, and our students speak a total of 39 different languages. It’s something we are very proud of and want to celebrate,” Ms McInerney said.
Students of all grades and year levels proudly showed off their special outfits in a school assembly.
