300 fit chicks

By Sally Zou
SOME 300 women attended the Contours Health Expo at Contours fitness centres in Narre Warren South, Berwick, and Endeavour Hills last weekend.
The event, which was open to all Casey residents, aimed to promote a ‘Healthy You’ and treated women to free injury assessments, a skin analysis from Skin Essentials, a free Zumba session and much more.
Health professionals also attended the day to promote healthy weight, to speak about nutrition, managing injuries, preventative treatments, healthy diets, and give free blood pressure tests.
The list of health professionals included those from Integrated Health, Eastwood Myotherapy, Farrelly Chiropractic, Narre Warren Podiatry, Berwick Osteopathy, Casey Foot Clinic, and Stanhill Studio and Day Retreat.
Women were also educated on the risk of heart disease, diabetes and cancer.
Owner of Contours Narre Warren South and Endeavour Hills Carol Bosward said the day had been very successful.
“Everybody was very positive on the day and it allowed them to be excited and, at the same time, learn about health and fitness in order to live a longer and happier life,” Carol said.
“One of the attendees told me ‘it felt like a big exercise party, it was so much fun’.”
Some $1000 dollars worth of prizes and showbags were given to those who attended.
