Power of luck

A LUCKY Narre Warren woman will be celebrating her 10th wedding anniversary in style next month after winning $2100 in Mirvac gift certificates from her local pharmacy.
Tineka Power, 36, said she was buying items for her two children at the Casey Central Pharmacy when the employees told her to phone a number and enter a competition.
“I said to them it would be funny if I won because my husband Todd and I were celebrating our 10-year-wedding anniversary in October,” she said.
“I don’t normally enter competitions, so I was surprised when I got the phone call saying I won.”
Pharmacy Assistant Anne Porter said Chemmart often had major draws and prizes to for customers, and Ms Power was the first major winner at the local pharmacy.
Ms Power said she and her husband originally planned to holiday at Daylesford for their anniversary but have now made alternative arrangements to spend a weekend in the Yarra Valley at a Mirvac Hotel. “We booked accommodation and a spa package,” she said.
“It’ll be a nice weekend away. We are rapt.”
