Walk your way to health

AS WINTER ends, Casey residents can put a spring in their step by joining one of Casey’s Heart Foundation Walking Groups.
There are many walking groups in Casey, including the Hampton Park Walking Group which meets on Monday and Wednesday from 9.15am until 10.15am at the Hampton Park Community House in Stuart Avenue.
City of Casey Mayor Shar Balmes said Heart Foundation Walking is Australia’s largest network of free community-based walking groups, led by volunteer walk organisers.
“Research shows that walking regularly is great for your health,” Cr Balmes said.
“Over the last 10 years, more than 15,000 Australians have enjoyed the benefits of being part of a Heart Foundation Walking group and living a more active lifestyle.”
Anyone wanting to learn more about the Hampton Park Walking Group or any of the Heart Foundation Walking groups in Casey can contact City of Casey Customer Service on 9705 5200.
