A promising week of business

SMALL business owners and operators will be able to learn a number of tips and tricks to grow their business during a comprehensive program this month.
There will be plenty of educational events during Casey Business Week from 19 to 23 September.
City of Casey Mayor Shar Balmes said the program offered something for everyone.
“As well as covering broad business issues, there are also sessions tailored to particular areas of business such as tradies and people starting out in business,” Cr Balmes said.
“There will be 10 information sessions including presentations, workshops and networking events held at a range of venues across the City of Casey during the week.”
Cr Balmes said a highlight of the week would be the Casey Business Breakfast on 21 September, which will be hosted by former captain of the Melbourne Football Club David Neitz and will feature guest speaker, futurist Paul Higgins.
The finalists of the Casey Business Awards 2011 will also be announced at the breakfast.
Some of the sessions planned during Casey Business Week 2011 include Starting Your Business, Business Strategies for Tradies, Top 20 Tips and Tricks for Social Media, Future Competitive Landscape, and Growing Your Business While Growing Its Capital Value.
For further details on dates, times and venues for the events above you could check outwww.casey.vic.gov/caseybusinessweek/calendar or call City of Casey Customer Service on 9705 5200.
