Model of learning

By Lia Bichel
A HILLCREST Christian College student is in a class of her own – and she built it with Lego.
Grade 5 student Chiara Stranges surprised her students and teachers with a replica classroom – equipped with mini-versions of her classmates – built from Lego.
Chiara ordered special outfits, hair pieces and accessories similar to all her friends and teacher, Wes Grainger.
The creation took about four weeks to complete with some help from her brother Sam, 13.
“I’ve been building things from Lego since I was about seven – this is probably the biggest things I’ve made,” she said.
“I think it’s pretty good because it looks real.”
Chiara said she plans to take a short break from building, but will eventually create a “big Lego house”.
