MEMBERS of the Narre Warren North Red Cross Unit celebrated its 72nd birthday last week with a guest speaker and cake.
Members from other units, including Dandenong, Bunyip, Cranbourne and Pakenham, also attended the celebrations.
The guest speaker, Jill Williams, spoke about her work on Antarctica. Ms Williams is a Laboratory manager at the Department of Genetics at the University of Melbourne. She spend two months last summer as a Laboratory Manager with the Australian Antarctic Division at the Casey research station in Antarctica.
The members finished the day with afternoon tea and cake made by Edie Smith.
