AN ELDERLY woman was robbed in William Road, Berwick on Wednesday morning.
Police believe that about 4.30am, a man armed with an unknown weapon covered his face and grabbed the Berwick woman’s handbag, dragging her across a driveway when she attempted to retain the bag.
The man was last seen in a grey vehicle travelling south on William Road towards Princess Highway. The woman, believed to be aged in her seventies, sustained minor injuries.
