POPULAR children’s author Michael Wagner entertained more than 500 people at the City of Casey council chambers last week.
Mr Wagner spoke to 340 enthusiastic children and more than 200 adults on Firday about his books including The Undies and Maxx Rumble series.
His visit marked The Casey Cardinia Library Corporation Summer Reading Club finale.
Since December, more than 900 children aged five to16 years have registered in the Summer Reading Club at Casey-Cardinia Library Corporation Libraries and combined, have read more than 9670 books during the summer holidays.
Every child who had read 10 books or more went into the draw to win one of eight ipod shuffles, book prizes or a family pass to the Melbourne Aquarium.
