Berwick fires up

THE Berwick Bowling Club appears to be hitting its straps at the right time of the season after five of the six teams had victories on Saturday to keep the finals sparkle alive.
A very warm day confronted all bowlers but it did nothing to take away the determination of the Berwick sides that walked away with rewarding results.
The number three side provided the excitement for the day by winning its match by a solitary shot while its predecessors, the number and two sides, had comfortable wins.
Our fourth side had a solid win over Mount Waverley and our sixth side fought hard to gain their win at Boronia with two rinks competing in tight matches.
The results of the last two rounds of matches are vital to some of our sides and teams are eager to maintain their positions on the ladder.
