Flood support to continue

FLOOD-AFFECTED residents in the City of Casey and Greater Dandenong have received further support from the State Government.
On Monday, the State Government announced that access to personal support services for residents affected by the floods in February last year would continue through to the end of April 2012
Minister for Community Services Mary Wooldridge said Connections UnitingCare had been providing an excellent service to residents in this region throughout 2011, and with Monday’s announcement it could continue to provide Flood Support Workers for a few months longer.
A total of 711 households across this region received more than $1.3 million of Victorian Government personal hardship grants, with 116 people accessing personal support from Connections Uniting Care.
