Hopgood to talk at Gathering

ACTOR, screenwriter and playwright Alan Hopgood will be the guest speaker at the Casey Arts Gathering this month.
Alan is well-known for playing Jack Lassiter in Neighbours, Wally in Prisoner and he spent 10 years with the Melbourne Theatre Company.
Casey residents can attend the fifth annual Casey Arts Gathering on Thursday 23 February at the Chifley Hotel in Doveton to hear Alan’s inspiring story about his involvement in the arts as an Australian playwright and actor, and hear his compelling story about how he used his own health and arts experience to overcome hardship and raise awareness about important issues.
City of Casey mayor Sam Aziz said the Casey Annual Arts Gathering provided a fantastic opportunity for local artists to hear an accomplished artist talk about their amazing experiences.
“It also provides the opportunity for artists to network with other artists, discuss their artistic ideas and find out more about the arts in Casey,” Cr Aziz said.
The event is from 7pm until 9pm and is free to attend. To book, contact City of Casey customer service on 9705 5200 by Monday 20 February. Bookings are essential, as places are limited.
