Birds of a feather work together

By Lia Bichel
LOVEBIRDS Sam and Martha Disalvo have proven they are a dynamic duo, not only as husband and wife, but as business partners as well.
The Narre Warren South couple have been married for 30 years, and have never worked apart.
Together, they have had 12 businesses, with three of them at Westfield Fountain Gate.
They worked side by side on Valentine’s Day at their coffee shop Twisted Sista, which is a big hit with the shoppers that frequent the centre.
Mr Disalvo credited the business’s success to their great teamwork.
“We bounce ideas off each other,” Ms Disalvo said.
“We create something special together. Our service is quick and efficient and customers love it.”
Mr Disalvo said he and his wife tried to work apart but hated it – they work best as a team both professionally and personally.
“We can’t be apart – we have tried, but it doesn’t work,” Mr Disalvo said.
“I don’t think we will ever work apart.”
