What a lotto luck

By MELISSA MEEHAN
AN ENDEAVOUR Hills man’s pocket is more than $1 million lighter after he realised he was carrying a winning lotto ticket in his pocket for over a week.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, read the story about the Endeavour Hills Newsagency and Lotto selling a winning ticket in last week’s News.
After reading the story he checked his ticket and realised he was a winner.
Newsagency owner Rajeev Goel said he was excited that the winning ticket had gone to a local.
“From what we have heard he is a regular customer of ours,” Mr Goel said.
“So, yes, we are very happy for him.”
Over the last three years since he bought the lottery shop, Mr Goel has sold four winners at one shop and five winners at the others.
“I guess you could call us the lucky shop,” he said.
“We definitely think we’re lucky.”
He said news that he sold the winning ticket last weekend was a bit of a surprise after selling another division one winning ticket in January.
“It’s very exciting for us,” he said.
The lotto agency is located at the Endeavour Hills Shopping Centre, next to Safeway.
