Bus race rage probe

A HAMPTON Park couple were interviewed by police after a video of people verbally abusing a group of women on a bus, went viral on the internet.
Police said it had been reported that several people made verbal threats and racial taunts against a group of women travelling on the bus about 9.30pm on 11 November. The commuters were travelling between Mordialloc to Caulfield railway station when the incident occurred.
A bus window was also smashed when the assailants left the bus.
A witness video-recorded some of the incident with a mobile phone and provided the footage to investigators.
Detectives from the Transit and Public Safety Command Crime Investigation Unit identified a 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from Hampton Park, alleged to have been involved in the incident. Both have been interviewed by police and released pending further inquiries.
Investigators are keen to speak with another man and are urging him to come forward, or for anyone with information regarding his identity to contact police.
He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, with a red face, middle-aged with dirty blonde hair, wearing jeans and a top.
Police have already received a number of calls from members of the public in relation to this incident. A woman, believed to be a victim in the incident, also contacted police and made a formal report lst week.
