Gateway to career paths

CASEY students now have a gateway to link their career dreams to the right training with the launch of a new website.
The new website – Victorian Skills Gateway took – was launched last week which makes it easier for students to find training providers for their chosen career.
Skills Minister Peter Hall said the website took the hassle out of searching for the right course.
“Gone are the days of hours spent searching through the websites of individual training providers,” he said.
“This makes it easy. Select a career, click the mouse, and all training options available in Victoria for that job are laid out.
“Whether it’s school leavers, or those looking for a job change, this website will prove to be a useful tool.
“You can scroll through the list, read about job prospects, look at case studies and then get information on the courses needed.
“It also has the latest information specific to Victoria, including the demand from employers for certain roles, average salaries and where in the state those roles are typically found,” Mr Hall said.
“Location is one of the most important factors in making a decision about training, so courses can also be searched by campus or where they are offered.”
