On track for spies

A SPY novel written by a Berwick mother of two has already received great reviews after being released last month.
Shaheera Huggins has just released her first book Rogue Assassins, a spy novel which has already attracted great reviews.
The book follows an Australian woman who gets recruited to be a spy and partners with a British agent.
The lead character is a parole officer, which was inspired by Ms Huggin’s former career.
The 33-year-old said she loved the end result but has been overwhelmed with the praise she has received since it was released on Amazon 21 December.
“I liked the story, but it’s kind of like a child for me – you love it because you crated it,” Ms Huggins said.
“But I have been overwhelmed with the response I’ve been getting.
“It’s amazing people have enjoyed it.
“Everyone is excited about the sequel which is currently being written.”
Ms Huggins said she started writing the novel after a helpful push from her friends.
She wrote it every day on the train to work for 18 months and was thrilled when she finished it.
“It was so exciting – the most exciting thing which has ever happened to me,” she said.
“It felt like all my dreams had come true,” she said.
Rogue Assassins is now available on Amazon, iBooks and her own website www.shaheerahuggins.com.
