Fire relief: fighting fit

A PERSONAL trainer is hoping Casey residents get active on Australia Day to help people affected by the bushfires.
Andray Votonov, owner of Narre Warren Bootcamps, is holding a charity event on Australia Day to inspire people to get fit and help their fellow Australian.
He is inviting Casey residents to attend the ‘by-donation’ boot camp in Hallam and give money to the 2013 Bush Fire Appeal to help Tasmanians affected by the recent fires.
Mr Votonov said people can donate as much as they want, but encouraged them to contribute at least $10 to the cause. He said people normally pay $40 a week to attend up to 14 sessions a week at his Hallam based business.
“Since Narre Warren Bootcamps started about 11 months ago, we have been quite active in local charities and our main goal is to get behind businesses and to push for community spirit,” Mr Votonov said.
“So, when the recent heat wave hit and most of Australia was experiencing some degree of fire danger, we decided to do our part and host a local initiative to raise funds for the 2013 Bush Fire Appeal.”
Mr Votnoc said people of all abilities, aged 18 to 55, can participate in the boot camp. It will begin at 7am and will last 45 minutes. It will be followed by an egg and bacon breakfast.
The session will take place at Narre Warren Bootcamps dedicated boot camp facility in Hallam on 51-53 Hallam South Rd. For more information contact Andray Voronov on 0423 893 208. For more information about Narre Warren Bootcamps visit www.narrewarrebootcamps.com.
