A NEW op shop benefiting the needy in Casey will open its doors next week.
The Casey Christian Reform Church in Narre Warren South will launch the Casey Outreach Op Shop on 6 February.
Committee member Jenny Van Poppel said members of the church formed a committee and started planning for the shop in July last year.
Items in the op shop were donated and include clothing, bric-a-brac, books, and toys.
Ms Van Poppel said all the profits would go towards assisting Casey families in need.
“Every penny will go back into the community,” Ms Van Poppel said.
The op shop will open on Wednesday, 6 February from 10 am until 4pm to coincide with a playgroup at the church. It will be open every Wednesday.
Ms Van Poppel said the committee hoped to eventually open the shop two days a week.
The Casey Outreach Op Shop is at 350-352 Pound Road, Narre Warren South.
