Casey Community Event/Activity of the Year 2012 Award – 150 Years of Literary Achievement – Berwick Mechanics Institute & Free Library Inc.

THE Berwick Mechanics Institute and Free Library Inc. celebrated 150 years of community service to the people of Berwick last year.
More than 400 people attended the event in October last year and were given the chance to browse the shelves and the building, examine the private library of Lord and Lady Casey, and to view the unique paintings and collection of heritage books.
The event increased the literary knowledge of those that visited and raised awareness of the organisation and the activities it provides for the Casey community.
