CASEY’S youngest residents are set to be delighted by the return of the famous Casey Kids Carnival.
The carnival will return for the 15th time and is set to take place on 23 March at Akoonah Park, Berwick.
City of Casey Mayor Amanda Stapledon said the event is a great day out to celebrate the youth in the community.
“The Casey Kids Carnival is a free event hosted by the City of Casey in celebration of young people and children in the municipality,” Cr Stapledon said.
“This fantastic day draws a great crowd of children and their families from all over our vibrant city.”
A variety of free entertainment will be available on the day including Po from Kung Fu Panda 2 who is set to deliver an exciting performance for his young crowd.
The day will be jam-packed full of entertainment for families, with The Kazoos, The Mighty Buzzniks and Luigi Zucchini also taking to the stage on the day.
There won’t be a guest on the day left without anything to do with roaming performers, face painting, and amusement rides to thrill the daring guests.
Children are also invited to be creative with a range of workshops, including Aboriginal sand painting and origami, plus the chance to build a magical city with cardboard boxes.
The carnival will also feature animals from Myuna Farm for kids to play with and watch.
Cr Stapledon said the event is the ideal day out to rejoice the future of the city.
“The City of Casey has one of the largest populations of young people in the state, and this is a delightful way to celebrate the future of our youngest residents,” Cr Stapledon said.
The event will kick off at 10am until run until 4pm.
The event is at no cost to anybody who wishes to attend.
