RESIDENTS of Woodland Park retirement village were delighted to receive a visit from comedian Denise Drysdale earlier this month.
Approximately 140 residents were treated to a laugh when the entertainer spent an hour and a half at the village.
Sales manager for Woodland Park Stewart Gibson said it was a great day.
“She was very good and very entertaining,” he said.
“She really spoke to our demographic and was able to crack a few jokes and let people know how fabulous it is here.”
In an engaging performance, Mr Gibson said she put on a show and told stories that many could identify themselves with.
“She used a few health anecdotes which everyone could relate to,” he said.
Although this was the first time Denise visited the village, Mr Gibson said they hoped to have her return.
“We will definitely get her along again,” he said.
