Georgette Fishlock was welcomed to P-12 College in Narre Warren with open arms this week.
The mother of blind cancer-stricken 11-year-old Tyler, who has captured the hearts and minds of many, visited the school on Monday to talk to the VCAL students who had helped raise money for her son’s cause.
This year alone the school has raised close to $10,000 for the Fishlock family, part of which came from a fundraising walk by the VCAL students who walked 48 kilometres from their school to Flinders Street Station earlier this year.
P-12’S VCAL teacher Jonathan Vallance said the students were already discussing plans for the future.
“The school is talking about making it an annual event,” he said.
“From the whole school’s point of view, it makes you very proud of what the students can do.”
