A new $4 million Sherrin Rentals facility was opened in Doveton last week.
Holt MP Anthony Byrne joined Sherrin Rentals general manager Steven Goulding to open the Melbourne branch on Friday.
The multi-million dollar investment will provide a purpose-built and environmentally friendly facility which will consist of a six-bay workshop, two overhead cranes, wash bay and a recycled water system among a range of other inclusions.
Mr Bryne said the Sherrin Melbourne branch, which amounts to a $30 million investment including its rental goods, was a significant addition to the area.
“This is a wonderful $30 million investment for Doveton and Sherrin Rentals will be of great service to many local manufacturing and business companies,” Mr Byrne said.
Sherrin Rentals is the industry leader in supplying heavy earthmoving equipment from wheel loaders to dump trucks to compactors.
