Gotta show off their talents

By BRIDGET COOK

THE talents of students from Blairlogie Living and Learning will be in the spotlight this month when they put on their annual performance.
The Pearcedale organisation’s performing arts class will be showcasing its Blairlogie’s Got Talent show at the Cranbourne Community Theatre on Friday 15 November.
Blairlogie assistant program manager Danielle Reid said a lot of work had gone into the performance and encouraged the community to come along and support the event.
“The production is set as a talent show, with a host, panel of celebrity judges and performers just like a television talent show,” she said.
“There will be singers, dance acts, poetry and even a bit of magic.
“They have been working on this show for 12 months so it would be a massive confidence boost and reward for the broader community to come along and support the show.”
Ms Reid said the students had been involved in every aspect of the show.
“They have worked alongside staff with the script, choreography, their individual acts and right down to what they want to wear,” she said.
“Earlier in the year the guys also made their own advertisements in multimedia, which will run in between acts like a real television show.”
The show will be on Friday 15 November with doors to open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start at Cranbourne Community Theatre on Brunt Street.
Tickets cost $20, with supper to be served at intermission.
To book a seat call Blairlogie on 5978 7900.
