Creating a positive impact?

THERE’s still time to apply for a grant of up to $5000 to go towards social and environmental projects.
Applications close for the first round of SITA Australia’s (SITA) inaugural Community Grant Program on Friday 31 January.
SITA is offering monetary grants between $500 and $5000 to support a wide range of community organisations, committed to increasing participation in social and environmental projects.
SITA managing director Eric Gernath said the program was a fantastic opportunity for local organisations to receive financial assistance to continue the positive impact they made in their local communities.
“SITA’s Community Grants program will support a diverse range of organisations,” he said.
“We’re looking for organisations and projects that improve the quality of the local environment, inspire participation in sustainable activities through education, contribute to improved health and wellbeing or encourage recreation and community building.
“We are aware of the important role grassroots organisations play in contributing to the sustainability of local communities and we look forward to contributing to these organisations.
“SITA has a long history of supporting a range of community initiatives and is committed to long-term positive outcomes in the communities in which we operate.”
