THERE is continual dumping of ‘householder’ rubbish in Casey in many areas, some of which has been there since before New Year’s Eve, and also tree cuttings.
Why should I have to spend 30 cents from my pension to ring Casey regarding this problem?
As a ratepayer since 1996, my only letter to Wayne Smith took 13 months to get a reply. Then I didn’t get a response from Wayne Smith but a garbled reply from a Casey worker.
Does Casey require the huge cost of a cultural centre? Just to be big-noting?
When they are so lax on doing other more necessary things, ie: street repairs, dogs not on leads in streets, cats roaming at night (not strays).
I was awoken at 3.40am on 28 December 2013 by a noise at my front door. This was very frightening to an elderly woman alone, with so many break-ins in this shire.
Upon checking, I found a neighbour’s cat clawing at my security doors. The same cat was found in my shed where it caused damage to property – this was in 2010.
One wonders if owners are immune to council by-laws. I am not the only person to be annoyed by this cat.
I’m sure ratepayers would be more pleased to have problems like the above fixed, than have a cultural centre that a large percentage of ratepayers would seldom, if ever, visit.
