A NEW housing estate in Clyde North continues to find its feet with the launch of two new display homes over the weekend.
To celebrate the grand opening of the Berwick Waters Display Village last Saturday and Sunday, Hallam-based Hotondo Homes held its own celebrations, inviting guests to check out its two new home designs at the estate while enjoying two afternoons of entertainment and friendly company.
Tim and Marg Van Dam, from Hotondo Homes in Hallam, designed the two houses on display – the Erskine 290 and the Lorne 302 – and were on site to oversee the opening.
Tim said more than 100 people visited the estate over the weekend to tour the display homes and enjoy a friendly barbecue.
“It worked really well, it has to be a positive that so many people were drawn to the houses,” he said.
“There was a positive response to the floor plans.
“One of our houses is a double storey and the other is a single storey.”
Tim and Marg have more than 40 years of experience in the building industry and specialise in domestic construction ranging from small and medium to large new home builds.
While Berwick Waters is still in its early stages of development, Tim said several people had already moved into the estate and that its houses held universal appeal.
“The house sizes are on relevant allotments and have appropriate facades,” he said.
“There will also be several footpaths and a lake which they expect to be as big as Albert Park Lake. It will be the go-to place.
“Its above and beyond in terms of infrastructure.”
