A MAN has been arrested after a spate of alleged upskirting incidents at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre this week.
Police arrested a 49-year-old Pakenham man on Monday after being notified by security staff that he had allegedly been filming women inappropriately earlier that day between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
Police were told the man allegedly put his backpack on the ground near women wearing skirts and used a small video camera to record them.
Police said a video camera allegedly located in the man’s possession indicated that there may be nearly 20 women still to be identified.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious at the shopping centre on Monday to come forward.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestoppers.com.au.
