Arrested over sex assault

A MAN has been arrested in New South Wales over the alleged sexual assault and abduction of a nine-year-old boy in Doveton last week.
Police travelled interstate to extradite the 21-year-old Victorian man who was intercepted on Tuesday just before 11pm at Parramatta Road, Auburn.
It is alleged the man sexually assaulted the boy in Eumemmering, after coaxing him into his car on Ash Street, Doveton at 6.30pm on Friday night.
The man was refused bail and scheduled to re-appear in Burwood Local Court, NSW, on Thursday where Victoria Police will seek his extradition to face charges in Victoria.
