Grass house bust

A CROP house with more than 300 cannabis plants was uncovered at a Narre Warren South house last week.
Casey CIU Drug Investigation Team Detective Sergeant Stuart Freeman said police removed between 300 and 400 cannabis plants from a house in Ellen Road on Friday 14 March.
Paraphernalia used to cultivate the drug was also seized from the vacated house, police said.
No charges have been laid and police are keen to speak to anyone that might have information about the crop house.
Det Sgt Freeman urged to community to be vigilant with this type of activity and urged you sees suspicious behaviour to contact police.
“The things to look for include blacked out windows, an off odour or strong smell of cannabis, tampering of power sources and suspect movement to and from a house,” he said.
“Also light emanating through different parts of the house.
“The heat lamps used are very bright and can come through roof tiles.”
